I am disappointed that this game no longer works on OSX.

so COOL! This would actually be amazing on mobile too. It's such a neat format.

Is a death with scrambled text that wipes your current character supposed to happen or is this a glitch? Because so far on my fourth or fifth death I will just get a bunch of scrambled text upon revival and then get booted to the name my character screen.

Did you ever figure out whether this was intentional or a glitch? This happened to me also, and for a game where death can come unexpectedly and without warning, a limited number of lives is a serious dampener on fun for me.

I'd purchased this game along with the "Bundle for Racial Justice and Equality". However, it seems that the download doesn't include the Steam Key despite depicting that it is included. No, I do not see the "Claim Steam Key" button at the download page either. All I see within the zip file is two folders. One for Win and another for Mac. I guess unless the game is purchased at its original price or more, the Steam Key is not included. If that's the case, it should have been stated somewhere. Other creators have done so before, and it is disappointing that there's no Steam Key. A fun little game to play though,

says right on the bundle page:

Please note: No Steam (or other external keys) will be given for bundle purchases. Only direct downloads will be available on the itch.io page.

Having an issue with file permissions on Mac

Is it still happening? I have no direct way of fixing this, but I believe downloading and running the game through the Itch app will solve it.

Good: Evocative gameplay. Minimalist text-adventure style inspires imagination. Easy to explore and have fun without much risk of dying. World Building is pleasant with just enough detail; I'm taking inspiration for running sci-fi tabletop RPGs.
Bad: Little to no agency as a player. Control scheme (clicking on small buttons) is annoying.

Is this game still taking updates? I found multiple typos that I'd be happy to submit.

As a simple player I could suggest that you directly modify the game files, and post them somewhere here as a mod.

That would great !

The concept is very interresting and the writting is great. It reminds me of other great space exploration interactive fictions such as "Seedship", "Superluminal Vagrant Twin" or "Even the Stars".

I fell however that I am missing a purpose to really get hooked. I don't know what it could be... Maybe somewhere to drop the knowledge I gathered, the perspective of dying -or changing- with age, the perspective of settling down somewhere and have an epilogue which would depend on hour exploration ? Or maybe somehow, putting a tiny little bit more emphasis on the missions ?

I'll spend more time investigating it though. It might be very inspiring.

I was having fun until a cursed book with blank pages somehow killed me.

How was i supposed to know that opening blank books means instant death!? I lost so much... All to a book.

That seems to be the first step in one of the progressions. If you try dying a few times after reading the book, you'll notice that the experience is different.

This is absolutely worth the money. The minute I launched the program I was glued to my PC for hours upon hours. This is an experience worth every single penny. I would have paid double if I knew what I would ultimately end up getting out of it.
